Um...hi. It's mine and I'm not durrdy at all! Guess again! It hardly ever gets cleaned. But how durrdy? The average public toilet bowl contains 41 germs per square inch. The average personal keyboard? Some 21,000 germs per square inch!!! Ahh, run!
The solush? Clean it daily with disinfecting wipies {Clorox makes great ones}

DOORKNOBS
Speaking of disinfecting wipeage - while you're at it...scrub the doorknobs! Germs can last upto 5 days on a knob. Ewww, how many peeps have touched it? And where did they touch before touching your darling doorknob? The mental pics are haunting!
The solush? Wipe 'em down with disinfecting spray and/or wipes. If you're one of the lucky duckies who has copper knobs then you're waaay cleaner! Copper knobs contain 95% fewer germs than other metals!

THE SALT N' PEPPAH SHAKAH

So, a food friend asked for a lil' tid-bitty of advice for a Bride-To-Be Showah! Of coarse, I want to help you out! Here's what her Majesty Martha's Must Do Checklist...

First - pick a color for your theme! Duh, mine will be in pink!
2nd - the invites - obviously in the color theme! Make sure to tell the guests to wrap their gifty-poos in the color theme. This makes an easy decoration for the partay!

Here's My Suggesties 4 Food:

Fruit n' Yoggie Salad {or fruit kabobs on skewers}
Chicken Brocoli Tomato Salad {serve on fresh rolls}
Strawberry Shortcut Cake
Coconut Cake Couture {make into cupcakes instead - top with a small pink flower - serve on cake stands}
Watermelon Lemonade {label each glass w/hanging name tag}

A totally charming timeline of the bride and groom's childhoods -- and festive decorations. To make, sew glassine envelopes (with the flaps open) together, end to end, on a sewing machine; glue photos (or copies of them) to colored paper, and slide inside! Voila - totally presh! Awww...


Message Garland: create a totally sa-weet n' tender message for the bride-to-be using letters strung into what? Yes, yet another garland using pink ribbon! Darling!!!

Pink Candy: This is totally a-dora-ball if done right! choose a vari of cutie-ba-tootie pink candy {watermelon slices, jelly-belly's, ole' school bubble gum, rock candy suckers, m&ms, etc} and fill diff sized glass jars! obviously, each jar should be tied in varied pink ribbons! make sure to put a candy scoop in each jar with cellophane bags nearby! it's a totally spesh partay favor!

Turtle Cake!!!

This Caque {father of the bride, anyone?} is oh so delish! It's just as good as old fashioned Turtle chocolates but in cake form! Ooo, ooo! Yes, puhlease!!

Ingredients

Cake:
1 box devil's food cake mix
1 1/3 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 bag (14 oz) caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1 bag (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
Ice cream or Whipped cream,
Caramel and chocolate topping
Chopped pecans - garnish

Chocolate Gnash:
1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup half n' half
1 Tablespoon butter

Directions

Cake:
1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease or spray bottom of 13x9-inch pan.
2. In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour half of the batter into pan. Bake 22 minutes (25 minutes for dark or nonstick pan). Refrigerate remaining batter.
3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat caramels and evaporated milk over medium heat, stirring frequently, until caramels are melted. Stir in pecans. Pour caramel mixture over warm cake in pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Spread with remaining batter. Bake 25 minutes (29 minutes for dark or nonstick pan) or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake. Cool at least 30 minutes.

Gnash: over a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and butter into the half and half, until smooth. Add more or less half and half depending on desired consistency.

Serve with ice cream, drizzle with Gnash, caramel topping and sprinkle with pecans. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

Choconana Smoothie

Husby and I were not hungry for a big meal since we had a late lunch. So why not skip straight to dessert?!? So we did. It was just as tasty as a milkshake, but didn't give you the "guilty" side affect! Isn't that Peachy? No, wait...I mean just Bananas?

Ingredients

2 frozen bananas (peel and freeze in a ziplock)
4 tablespoons to taste good chocolate syrup (or melt your fave chocolate of choice)
1 cup 1/2 n' 1/2 or whole milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt (to taste)
optional: whip and chocolate sauce

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth! Tip: You may need to add crushed ice depending on the size of the bananas.

Ingredients

8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
1/2 cup Frank's Hot Sauce OR Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 cup Sharp Cheddar
2 cans (9.75 oz each) Chunk Chicken Breast in water, drained (or use leftover shredded rotisserie chicken)
optional: sliced green onions or fresh diced cilantro

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Stir all ingredients in an oven safe baking dish. Bake 20 minutes or until bubbly and browned. Garnish with green onion or fresh cilantro. Serve with veggies, crackers, sliced crusty bread, blue corn tortilla chips, or pitas.

Tid-Bitz: In a time crunch? This dip will totally work by noookin' it in the micro until bubbly and hot. Or want to leave it in a crock pot? That'll work too! The cilantro is a nice kick if you want to stir into the dip before cooking! Top the whole kit-n'-kaboodle off with a flirty smile to give your loverbuns every reason to say, "Yes, dear."
